Yoel isn’t a benchmark for wrestling prowess. Brunson is. Izzy didn’t wrestle Brunson. He was grabbed repeatedly by single leg attempts without even a set up then pushed against the cage. Yes, he wiggled out of them, but he had no issues grabbing him. Izzy couldn’t even slow his shooting until the 5th one during a scramble where I’m not even sure was meant for a ducking Brunson but I will happily give him the benefit of the doubt. No one has ever tried to grab Izzy while being a threat at close range on the feet as well in this division. He found that at LH and lost.

WE ALL didn't dismiss Izzys loss to Sean as a "bad performance" Chael. Even DDP said he realized what really happened when HE fought Sean and said Sean is hard to hit. He keeps moving forward while being hard to hit making him a perfect counter to a counter-striker. Izzy got dog-walked for the same reason Costa looked like an amateur and DDP had to "win" by split decision with his face beat to crap.
