Luke 12:49-53 | To Bring Division

“I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”

I am listening to this 3 years later and i'm so glad to have found the video and subscribe. I am reading the 365 day bible app daily readings and today's reading is this chapter in Luke. How awesome is God that He gives us understanding of things that we ask Him for. He is such a personal God!🤍😊I was praying before i ate dinner and began to read the bible and i asked God why my mother has so much anger and bitterness and to please give me wisdom before opening my mouth so that i may respond in the spirit and not in my flesh (which is very difficult as a new follower). Anyways, right after eating dinner i opened the bible app to begin to read about the division of family and wow, Jesus speaks the truth. This is why He tells us we must make a choice to follow Him and leave the family and the religion of the family. This is truly a spiritual battle we are fighting. There is nothing that i can tell my mom that will appease her and if i tell her what the bible says she becomes enraged (how dare i think i'm better than her). I'm just beginning my walk with Christ so my foundation is not as steady as the next persons, so i think for now, it is best i tell my mom "mom, i'd prefer to not argue about these things" and politely hang up the phone because there is no way around whatever i say, she wants to argue. She has so much unforgiveness and bitterness and i just don't know what to say anymore. I just thank Jesus for never condemning me or guilting me even though He has every authority to do it. Instead He has shown me endless love and i am overwhelmed by God's grace everyday. Thank you Jesus! And thank you for creating this video and explaining what Jesus meant in this passage in Luke. Very well explained video! God be with you always brother. 🤍

There is even real division coming soon when Jesus Christ shows up, and the devil. Such that the people of Christ on one end with the Lamb and the evil ones on the other with satan. Families then will be truly split up(fulfilling) the truth in the bible of what exactly Jesus Christ came to do. Today parents can easily lead their children to their side of belief easily but at that moment everyone will be independent regardless of age-am not talking about in heaven but rather here and it is very soon hopefully. Am also praying hard such that, that day comes!
