Intel ARC has come a long way. Iknow it's a thing to hat3 on MSI claw, however I think it's good to have competition. People, just because it's a sponsor code doesn't mean it's not good

4:33 XeSS technically has paths for both their own and other GPUs so will run on anything (though it will look slightly better on Intel GPUs). Additionally XeSS is by far the least popular of the 3 branded upscalers (DLSS, FSR, XeSS)
All of that for just having worse base GPU performance than just going with an AMD APU imo just wasn't the correct call from MSI.

It's unbelievable how similar this is to the ROG Ally. It's the exact same shell, same controller buttons, same rear buttons, same SD card placement precariously along the heat exhaust. Going with Intel has meant this device has had some weird performance quirks while they iron out drivers. That front page says GPU performance has increased across the board some 70-105% between February and April. That doesn't give me confidence in it's future, that says it was released too early

Like how people know that Intel is known for reliable productivity and gaming, people know that Radeon, AMD, Ryzen are known for gaming.

I think the biggest problem of Intel SoC is its driver support which is, surprise surprise, really important for gaming.

People who bought Intel Arc are mainly tech enthusiast that want to try what Intel offers or for cheap AV1 encoder.
