The Interactive Autism Network (IAN) was a partnership of Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Simons Foundation.

This video is part of a series of webinars on topics of interest to the autism community. In this video, Ruth L. Fischbach, PhD, MPE discusses her team’s research about the views that parents and scientists have on the causes of autism, priorities for research, genetic testing, and stigma. This research is important because trust and communication between parents and scientists is critical to the medical and public health response to autism.

Dr. Fischbach is professor of Bioethics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Mailman School of Public Health.
