Ok, i get modern controls are here to bring in new players and for those with disabilities who can't use classic controls to their full potential. I get that and it's great.

But ... why are they set as default controls? I wondered wtf was going on when i first played this.

Before anyone chimes with the tired 'you don't like them because of a skill issue' response, just know i was 8 months late to the game and currently diamond2 with my main. Not amazing but not bad. I can deal with modern. Last time i played a master in battlehub they left when it was 9-5 to them.

I just don't understand for the life of me why they're set as default. Simple wording on the case and a start up message on load up would've sufficed. Having them set as default is a genuine question every classic user should be worried about.

In a time of making everything easier and over the top hand holding in games this imo doesn't bode well for the future.

I just really hope i am wrong. I have played and loved Street Fighter since og sf2 on the snes. I would hate for modern to become so mainstream it becomes the norm.
