Features and Specifications of the Interview GO and MagClip GO

In this video, RØDE Product Specialist Ryan Burke takes us through the features and specifications of four new products in the RØDE Wireless GO range: the Interview GO, MagClip GO, Wireless GO White, and Lavalier GO White.

Yep, the hugely popular Wireless GO compact wireless microphone system is now available in white! Perfect for shooting weddings, business videos, events, interviews and other situations where your subject is wearing white clothing. The Lavalier GO also now comes in white.

The Interview GO is an adaptor that instantly turns the Wireless GO transmitter into a lightweight handheld mic for reporting to on-camera or interviewing in the field. It features a sturdy attachment for the Wireless GO’s cold shoe clip to secure the mic in place, and a foam windshield.

The MagClip GO is a powerful magnetic clip that allows for total flexibility when placing the Wireless GO transmitter on talent. This allows you to get the best recording possible no matter what kind of clothing your subject is wearing.

@Røde I think you should prepare a White Mag Clip Go, or even several other useful colors and the same for the Fur Windshields. Since we can hide the transmitter a little bit inside the clothes, but what we will often see will be the magnetic clip and the windshield. So colors like light or dark beige can be practical too. Besides, I wonder if it will not be possible to make a small accessory, like a small "cage", with different colors, which can surround the transmitter, so that it changes color. It is not necessary to have an accessory that will cover the entire transmitter, it's enough to cover what we risk seeing most often: the face containing the internal microphone. Summary: If we manage to have several colors for the: Magnetic clip + fur windshields + face of the internal microphone, the use and camouflage of the Wireless Go will be even more practical. A thought from a Sound Mixer that encourages your ambition. Thank you!

On the white version why have RODE in black? A slightly different Shade of the white would be in the spirit of the usage of it being all white.

I look forward to the day when the wireless go evolves and has a built in backup recorder with micro SD. This way if there is a dropout in the field, you would always have a safety recording of the event.

I have seen lots of people ask for a dual-channel version of the Wireless Go. The Comica Boom-XD, Picomic, Saramonic Blink 500 and others offer this functionality. It seems a 2 TX to 1 RX version of the Wireless Go would be very popular.

What we really want: NO RODE LOGO ALL OVER THE PRODUCTS. Number 1 complaint when we use the GO for clients is that they don't want to see your logo all over their video. So now we either cover it in unsightly gaff tape, or have to use different mics. COME ON RODE. Are you listening??

RODE is the only company that really listens to its users. We wanted an Interview kit, you made it. We wanted 2 transmitters, you added one. We wanted the windshield to be stronger, you fixed it. Thanks for listening. I guess the old 1 transmitter is still relevant for those who are on a low budget and need only one transmitter for interviews or solo videos.

NOW WE WANT MORE: The sound quality of RODE Wireless GO is the best for it's kind but it can be better like NTG.
You have some amazing Directional Microphones and their sound quality is very good. But they are not wireless. You don't need to improve the sound quality of RODE GO, all you need is to let it turn NTG into a Wireless Mic and keep its original quality intact through the receiver.

What if we can use the RODE Wireless GO 3 receiver as the receiver for 3 or 4 channels and get their quality sound? It would be just a receiver then. The most important thing is the quality of sound for RODE 3. and a few more channels for round table meetings I guess. It can be a pro set. Not for bloggers rather an alternative professional Wireless Microphone solution.

For example, if we have a house party and we want 2 sounds from the first floor 1 from the garden and 1 from the ground floor. All coming to the big screen in the living room to all the guests in front of the big sound system.
p.s. now that you have white and black. But you don't have an option to mix match. What if the wedding party wanna buy 1 white mic, 1 black mic and the receiver can be any color. All you need to do is to give it as an option online. And we need few more colors for that windshield of Interview GO. £20 is not a low price. You could add at least 1 more Windshield of different colors (RED or Torcuis Blue).

I sometimes use the Go transmitter clipped to the back of the VideoMic NTG base, which I have on a Rode lightweight boom pole to give me a super light wireless boom mike. :)

Please make the clip-on windscreen for the TX module an accessory. I lost mine in a matter of days. It was my carelessness, but it would be nice in future models for a more secure method of attaching this windscreen--screw-on or a reliable bayonet attachment instead of the present two springy-thingies that just don't hold on tight. Thanks. Otherwise a really great little mic.
