How to Install Android 8.0 Oreo on Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P/5X! [Video Tutorial]

In this video I show you how to install the latest and greatest Android 8.0 Oreo on your Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P, or 5X. Google will push out Android 8.0 Oreo update via OTA(over-the-air) eventually but if you are too impatient to wait or you are on a rooted phone with custom ROM, you can manually install it using Google factory images.

Hi! just found out about your channel and I really like how easy it is to follow your instructions. Haven't manually flashed anything using fastboot for awhile so I have question. In the last step where you flash the zip file, will the wipe command (the -w) wipe EVERYTHING on my device? like photos, files, etc. or does it just wipe the same way it does on any custom recovery when doing clean flashes? Thanks!

I like pixel icon and launcher. After upgrade 5x to oreo, I hate icon (square) and don't like launcher too. Can you suggest.

could this method fix a Pixel XL stuck on a bootloop? it froze out of nowhere and now it wont pass from the Google logo.

Why don't you just copy all the files from the extracted zip, put it in a fastboot folder, and run the flash-all command?

I am trying to do this process on Mac. I have followed your instructions but every time i try the flash command in the page linked, i get an error. "error: cannot load 'bootloader-XXX.img'" and when trying radio it's "error: cannot load 'radio-XXX.img'". Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I have all 14 files total in my fastboot folder. I am in bootloader and connected via usb c cable. What could be causing my error?

Got Android Oreo 2 weeks ago via OTA on my 6P and I gotta say it's pretty stable. Only battery life seems to be bad after that update. Idk.

Max when I go to download the image from the link it does not show anything to download, it doesn't even look like the page you pulled up with the exception of the top of the page. There's no images for me to download though have tried on tablet and browser firfox and crome and another computer help.

Could this resolve an issue where the phone is not booting up? It seems to be on a loop. There was some water damage but I can get to the bootloader.
