REFX Nexus 4.5.1 VST Plugin isn't Terrible but..

REFX Nexus has entered the fourth dimension but only after the 4.5.1 update! Let's be honest, the original update to 4 was lack luster! Now, they've added a few new features like OSC editing, FX routing/arranging, new rom extension 4, preset templates, random preset generator, and more. It's a whole lot better but honestly. A lot of these features been in VST plugins FOREVER but at least Nexus has it now. REFX should look into expanding the sound design features some more to 3rd party developers. That would be nice.

I absolutely love Nexus. I still have not upgraded yet eventually I will so I can't really speak on it rn but Nexus 2 in my opinion is the greatest vst I've ever used (so far) and it's really all I use 90% of the time shout out to Lex Luger lol

Wtf is everyone talking about.. Nexus is the best vst out there. And I have all of them, serum, astra etc. Its a rompler, ready to go with robust, with radio ready sounds. Ill easily dump every vst and use only nexus.

UVI's Falcon is on sale for about the same price as Nexus 4 right now and it's infinitely more worth it. Can't deny I've been tempted by Nexus in the past but the competition has already left it in the dust.

Nexus is a great instrument for pulling up tons of great sounds quickly. Probably the best for that purpose. I have took the time to go through all the sounds and expansions and pick my favorites.

It is probably the fastest and most extensive tool for that purpose. The sound design from Vengeance is top notch. If you want Vengeance sounds in a completely programmable synth, get VPS Avenger.

I use Nexus like a General MIDI instrument. If I'm just wanting some basic sounds and trying to work out a song it is dope. It's fast and pretty easy to find the sounds you are looking for. After I figure out what I want to do I usually swap out the sounds lol.

Probably the most inspiring instrument I've used in years. It even replaced a lot of my Kontakt libraries and doesn't fry my CPU, or crash my DAW. I really can't ask for more. oh, and it doesn't take up 100 GB on my HD neither. Win win for me.

Refx really fumbled the ball after being one of the top plugins in the late 2000’s/2010’s.

Great video bro! They dropped the ball when they wanted people to pay to upgrade to Nexus 4 right after we paid to upgrade to 3. Now when you want to use a newer expansion, they make it to where you need to have 4.

Every issue that this update addresses I’ve already addressed by buying other instruments.
I wish they had included this basic stuff 6-7 years ago because REFX is good at making presets. But I just always caught myself needing to tweak them more than I was able to back in the day. Now I’m too invested in other synths to justify going back.
Sounds good though.

2:07 - Ave, this is what I've been saying since the release of Nexus 4. I gave my two cents on the 4.5 update on my channel. Do you think it's worth getting due to the fact that we still have to pay an additional amount of money in order to get the extra features

I wrote Nexus. I don't know where you got the idea that Nexus3 doesn't work with FL Studio or that ImageLine is involved in any of this for any reason, but I can tell you that you are completely wrong.

You don't know what the problem is. Stop trying to diagnose it.

Also about your complains about "not receiving service" and "it has been over a week", here is the timeline:

You opened a ticket 11 days ago. We replied after four hours.

Then **you took seven days** to reply (OK, six days and 21 hours). Six days. Your second longest delay in responding to us was 42 hours. Your third longest was 26 hours.

Our longest time between responses was 11 hours, and that only because of timezone differences.

So out of the 11 days so far, you've let us wait 9 days for responses.

Now we ask you for a day a time-slot, and you just tell us "Thursday". Now we have to ask you what time is most convenient for you, delaying everything yet again.

If instead of threatening us, self-diagnosing something you're not qualified to and waiting several days between responses, you would actually cooperate and let us do our job, your problem would have been solved 10 days ago. You're your own worst enemy.

And before you start threatening us again, being belligerent and complaining about how nobody solved your problem already even though you took almost a whole week to reply, remember that I'm the owner of reFX. I'd gladly refund you for Nexus3 and your recent five expansion purchases and ban you for life.

1% of the customers causes 99% of the problems and we can surely live without the 1%.

People that would buy Nexus are people that had it cracked in 05. Because they got some old nostalgia on their drive. I need all the sounds! $4k!!! Or $250 plus $60 per pack? They need a plug-in and so many sounds model cheaper than what they giving right now
