Talking about legacy, i came from family that have almost nothing when i grew up. I got my masters degree through my parents blood and sweats. Im currently working fulltime Job and having a small business to accumulate money to invest. I have a complete detailed 10 years plan to achieve a similar charity ngo just like what you mentioned. Im currently 2 years into it and im not stoping. I live on cheap now so i can help others when the time come. I can affoord rtx3090 pc easily Nowadays but i will stick to my rx470 and live in a tiny house with no rent. I will treat myself with godly pc after i achieve this. Pray for. My success thanks

Great talk about how we can efficiently do charity. Buying a 3-5 years old used computer for cheap and giving it to a needy family is awesome bang for buck. Yea giving to charity pure cash most probably isnt an efficient use.

I used to work, during the summer, for a company who's prizes could range from around 1million upwards.
Their is advice is bank it, don't go over board and spend it all at once, take a 12 months all-in cruise holiday. Then when you get back you can impulse buy and live off the interest.
Even if the interest rate is 0.1% annually, that would leave you with around
1, 100, 000 ish

I like that charity idea. One thing I want to do after I finish the Dave Ramsey baby steps is to have a build your own computer class. Maybe once a year or twice a year and buy the parts to make 4 to 6 computers that are about 600 - 800 each. Then teach them to build it, then take it home.

I’ve basically hit this point now. I by no means make a ton of money but I’ve learned and seen how saving works being stuck inside since March. I’ve upgraded my PC slightly more and got a laptop but outside of that and paying off my car, I don’t really want or need anything. So save away I go.

OK now you're talking. Asking "what would you do with a billion dollars" and then talking about how much ordinary stuff you can buy is like asking "what if you were as strong as Superman" and being told "wow, I'd make more money moving furniture than ever before!"

Having a million dollars is like being a top athlete. Having a billion dollars is a superpower.

It's crazy how many young ambitious minds who've surely had complains about things not being they way you wish it had been, some grow up to be inna position to do that yet you never see it. They become the thing they used to critizie for not investing their money and resources without thinking of profit, market share, expansion etc. That charity you're talking about a lot of us here would love, but who ever here becoming rich and successful one day won't make it happen, because it will be a different reality and that person will have different mindset, values and find other needs. The key is to start thinking of what good you would do that you haven't seen or at least seen being done how you would've done it with that money and stick to it and when/if the comes where you're in the position to do so you do it. Business devlish that way. Great way to make all the money you can dream of if putting your blood, sweat and tears into it. But in time everything you do will be for the best of the company. And whenever you make donation it's only a margin of the company's income. Just for good credit but not to make the difference it could be. I always point at the gambling industry... Billions of money going to people wallets, with Jackpots bigger than anyone would need. So much money floating around us for lucky people to get a piece of. So much money that could be put into good used without risking anything. Amazon could donate hundreds of billions per year and it wouldn't affect their business or projection in any way. They'll still end the year with a massive profit. When it comes to donation companies are very cheap if you think about it considering what they can afford to give away or invest outside the business on a yearly basis.
