I was the GM there from 2002-2004. The entire course used to be a landfill with a lot of methane gas seeping up. The greens and tees are nice because they are on a regular water system. The rest of the course uses reclaimed water that is pretty rank.

The time I was there the fairways were much better but was always bad in spots.

Hi Josh, I actually used to be a member at Victoria and was club champion a couple of times. The men’s club had some of the best players in Southern California. Back in the 90’s they spent over a million dollars to improve the course and it was pretty nice for a couple years. Problem is that you can’t grow grass on an old landfill so that was the result. Sad.
