Road Trip to a Railway

For a while now Conor and I have talked about taking our Spitfires to a heritage railway for a day out, and at long last we did! I thought I'd bring my cameras along to filmed the day, although sadly much of the exhibitions we're closed mostly due to being out of season, so I cobbled together what I could with the time we had for you all to enjoy! We had a great time at the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway. What really made my day was that 7820 Dinmore Manor was in steam a firm favorite of mine, and it's always good to spend time with friends, no matter what the occasion

I do love an old DMU and a steam loco of course!

Hi Steve. There's something so evocative about steam . The South Devon Railway & Dartmouth Steam Railway. Two beautiful railways . The little diesel took me back to when we hopped on at Kingskerswell and went to Paignton, the exhausts sounded like tuba's ! My favourite was watching the Castles steaming out of Newton Abbot ....halcyon days indeed ! Thanks Steve .

I see what you did there. Now I am going to have to go and have a look myself !
