AMZ - World Record! 0-100 km/h in 0.956 seconds

The electric racecar «mythen» has set a new world record for acceleration of an electric car on the 01.09.2023. The vehicle accelerated from zero to 100 km/h in 0.956 seconds within a distance of 12.3 meters. The car was developed by students and alumni of the Swiss universities ETH Zurich and HSLU at AMZ Racing.

Congrats to the world record on 100Km/h in 0, 956 seconds and also for 100 different angles in 0, 956 seconds. I know that you guys study this to develop a fast racecar, and you guys are amazing doing it, but please next time someone go over to the media guys and invite someone to make a video. Cheers.

The Brabham BT46B (Formula One fan car) from 1978 also generated an unbelievable amount of downforce and acceleration from a standing start. Great to see the technology making a comeback to break world records in the electric vehicle space.

For those of us who don't normally use the metric system, 100 kmh is 62.1371mph and 12.3 metres is 40' 4 1/4".
Put another way, they went from a standing start to roughly 60 mph in approx. double the length of your living room.
I don't know what's more impressive, the time or the distance.
