Did you happen to mess with that jump starter anymore just curious.
Another thing I've been looking at those die hard and such battery chargers and it looks like they time out after 10 seconds on Boost, or at least that's what they say is the duty cycle. Is that actually held that regular charger Works in real life? My Schumacher smart charger only gives 3 seconds and I can't run around to the key that quick, lol. Thanks

I’m no expert, but maybe when you turned the headlight on the unit sensed the power being drawn and thought you were attempting to start a vehicle. Then as a safety measure it kicked off, as many of these units do. Many have a 30 second time limit to attach to battery and then boost. And then they kick off. And you simply remove and reattach the two cables and try again. I would think it would be a good idea to have lights off. You are taking a considerable amount of time to try it as opposed to an emergency situation besides the road where you’d be hoping pretty fast. Hook it up, no headlights, and turn your key. See if the unit works then. At 3400amps you should be able to hook to your cars cables without a battery even in the car and start it off the vehicle. Does this unit have a reset on the cables black box? Or maybe if you turned it on and then off at the power button on the side it would have reset. Or maybe like I said you just took too much time. Again. I’m. No expert. But I think it would have worked fine if you just hooked it up with no headlights on and immediately turned your key. I don’t think anything was wrong with that unit. I just don’t think you are familiar with the process or tried to reset it or turn it off then back on. I bet it would work then. Try to do it quicker and let us know. Thank you.
