I was wrapping up my first SOTA activation today at 7400 feet elevation at the same time this video was posted. Sadly the HF conditions weren't great and I wasn't able to make any contacts on 40 meters, but I made 5 contacts on VHF on 146.52 MHz for a successful activation. I had a blast and look forward to doing more SOTA activations in the future. Thanks for the inspiration!

That was video that I've been looking for. It answered a ton of questions. THANKS!!

When you get a Park-to-Park, do you count as both a chaser and an activator?

POTA's giving me the confidence I need as an operator that I haven't had before as folks want to work different Parks. Living in a strict HOA limits me in other opportunities. Thanks for this stream Josh.

What laptop are you using for the NYC activation?

why aren’t more hunters on 10M?! A good friend recently got her tech, took 3 1/2 hours to get 10 FT8 contacts using 15W. When it was my turn go 15 in 20M in no time at all. Same challenge for her on SSB. Band conditions are generally good on 10M but she still struggles (and yes, she’s studying for her General)still

Hi, KD4IPG here, I have been relatively inactive in Ham community for close to 13 years now because I moved into a condo with NO HAM OR CB rule even if you keep all antennas in your apartment. I know, I could have won by legal action but hiring a lawyer to take it to court would be expensive and the rising cost of condo fees would have made me unpopular with the entire complex. But I will be selling my condo soon and moving into a bus I am converting to a motorhome and will be on the road hopefully by the end of this year. I plan on spending a lot of time on BLM land and state dispersed camping grounds and getting back on the air again. I was wondering if BLM land <usually part of the federal parks system> would be eligible for activation as a park??? 8-)
