I need a battery powered multitool and was thinking about the Dewalt dcs356b. Your two-year review cinched the deal for me. Thanks for taking your time to let us know your thoughts on the tool. Stay safe and have a good day!

I've got a bunch of these oscillating tools. Have the Rockwell corded, Bosch 12 volt and a DeWalt 355. FREAKIN love my DeWalt. Had it about a year and a half, still one of my go-to tools when I just need to hack something off or even a quick sanding. Love your reviews!!

If I had to choose out of all my tools which ones are my favorites and most useful tools would be the Milwaukee isolator the Sawzall Milwaukee's M18 ripsaw Sawzall and then maybe the leaf blower for cleaning up but definitely the oscillator do touch multi-purpose if I'm putting floors in I don't have to remove the molding around doors I can just cut it it's so many things to use an oscillator that's why it's important to feel how comfortable it is

Great video and thanks for demonstrating the tool in action. You almost played “Auld Lang Syne” when cutting that 1”x, LOL!

I just got a 356 XR with the three speed settings — what an awesome machine. DeWalt keeps making great stuff.

I bought the corded version cos I’m not a tradesperson and I couldn’t see me needing it in the middle of a field😂….but it is real nice piece if kit…feels nicely balanced, as far as it can be. Blade change is effortless and I like the light since corners on floors can be dim. Might consider the battery version if I can sell the corded one, but it’s not a priority for me. Great tool.

I own this oscillating saw and so far it hasn't disappointed. I haven't used it a lot, but it has performed well in the projects I have used it for. I think that Milwaukee oscillating saw is slightly faster and quieter, but the blade release is system is better than Milwaukee's. I don't own the Milwaukee, so I can't make a first-person comparison, but the Milwaukee has been faster in every review I have watched, but not a lot faster. I basically got this tool for free because I got two free tools if I paid $300 for two DeWalt 5 amp hour batteries and a charger. It was a spectacular deal because the two 5 amp hour batteries generally cost $250.00 without the charger (though Amazon has them on sale for $130 currently). Regardless, I got the DeWalt cutoff saw and attachments and this oscillating tool basically for free. So far I have been very impressed and I own the corded Fein oscillating tool, which is considered to be one of the best made.

I have the Bosch 18V battery one and it's really smooth, strong and ergonomic. Thank you for showing the Dewalt!

I love mine and have found all sorts of uses for it. I agree it’s a must have.

I've got one, it's been a good performer. You've had yours longer than I've had mine so it's good to know that it holds up. Getting ready to use it on an outdoor storage project to set some hinges.

That lock on switch is why I love the 3 mode model you can lock the tool on with the 3 mode tool in slower modes @ToolReviewZone

@Tool Review Zone. Thanks Clint for these long term reviews. It's also nice of you to take the fall for your clumsy twin brother who's keeps dropping the tools he borrows from you.

Hope you and your family stay safe and well.

That's another reason why I like the Milwaukee oscillator because it has the on and off switch and then numbers 1 through 12 I believe so that's right there the main reason why I purchased the Milwaukee over the DeWalt but then again the big reason I like to go to the store and purchase my tools I like to feel heavy and the way it fits in my hand just to see how comfortable because if you're not comfortable with the tool most likely you're not going to use it anyways that's how I feel but have a great day brother

Just picked up the Dcs356b the other day. After tons of research, I decided to go with this Dewalt. I’m a DeWaukee fan as well as Rigid. I just love tools👍. Keep it Moist.

Before Dewalt came out with this, I bought one of the older Rockwells which turned out to be a pain in the a** to change blades. Even now, their hook and loop mounts pull off when you pull the sanding pad off. They are poorly made in my opinion. I got fed up last night and went ahead and got the Dewalt and it is superb. Plus, it is the same platform as all of my other Dewalt cordless 20 volt which gives me another battery and charger. I use the oscillating tool a lot. It's especially great for sheetrock work

I have just replaced a couple of broken tiles on my terrace. I didn't have a tool like this and getting out the old glue and grout was a pain. I did it, but I was on my knees much longer than I wanted to be. I have now ordered one of these De Walt babies and I'm actually looking forward to replacing the remaining cracked tiles. I just know it will be a breeze.
