Trek Marlin 8 2022 | First look and is it worth your money?

I am undecided between the Marlin 8 and the 2022 X-Caliber 9 ... is the X Caliber worth the money difference or for occasional use the Marlin is plenty enough? Thanks

Damn! I just booked my Marlin 8 2022, but I can change or cancel it till the end of this year. I don't wanna regret it :( what other bike you would suggest for that money? I'm pretty new to this mountain biking, I ride Cannondale synapse (road bike). Please suggest, thanks :)

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Marlin 8 in radioactive red. I love everything about the bike. The only upgrades I'm saving up for are a dropper, some tubeless sealant and a Shimano 12 speed shift lever. I say grab it if you see it especially if it's exactly your size and the color you wanted.

Picked up a marlin 8 2 days ago but returned it! Found out that marlin 2019 and up you cant install a internal dropper cause marlin decided not to put a hole in back like older marlin

My Trek Marlin 8 is arriving next week and I'm stoked! Not the very best bike for € 999, - but there are no other options right now. Cannot wait 'till autumn for a MTB, so I ordered the Marlin 8 anyway :D

I have had mine for about a month and it’s honestly disappointing, not in the shifting or any of that, it’s efficient on climbs and downs, as soon as i took it to jumps and more serious downhill it really lacked and felt gluggy would have preferred to go with a trail bike if i had known😞

Why doesn’t anyone ever talk about it having QR instead of thru axle? It’s 2021 and at $1, 200 it should have thru axles.
