Depending on where you are, in the US we have walgreens doing 50% off prints right now. Did 4 armies for $30, 4x6 prints using a free pdf to png converter. Grab some 4x6 recipe card covers and and a small box and you are set. Anything changes, you can always print off the cards that changed instead of having to buy another set.

The bundle approach is made even stranger by the fact that Chaos and Imperial Knights are going to be sharing an index deck, so no clue which bundle they'll fall into

I think each bundle contains all the cards for that group. So for 15.7 euros you get the datacards for all the space marines, space wolves, blood angels, etc. It wouldn't make sense to price the vanilla space marines at the same price as blood angels, because they have at least 4x as many datasheets. The confusion stems from the fact that these datasheets are extremely cheap. To corroborate this approach, the most expensive bundle is the xenos one, because it's the one that would contain the most datasheets. (all the orks, nids, eldar, tau, votann, necron and gsc). It is a great move because if they were to price the cards at 15 euros for each faction nobody would buy them, taking into account that many of them will be obsolete on day 2, probably.

i imagine the bundles will be based on popularity

the space marine bundle will probably have 1 blood angles 1 death watch, 1 space wolf, 1 dark angles, 1 black templars and 5 space marine packs

the imperium will probably have something like 1 grey knights, 2 imperial guard, 2 sisters of battle, 1 custodes, 2 admech, 1 imperial knights and 1 imperial agents

chaos will probably have 5 chaos space marines, 1 death guard, 1 thousand sons, 1 world eaters, 1 deamons, 1 knights

as for xenos i would imagine one pack for each faction with 2 factions getting 2 packs per bundle based on popularity so most likely orks, tyranids, necrons or aeldar will be getting 2 in the bundle.

this is more the retailers so it's purely going to be based on the popularity of the armies.

The value of the cards will also depend on the army, I have a hard time believing that Leagues of Votann players would want to pay that price for so few cards.

My FLGS said Space Marines was 4 packs for basic Marines and 1 each for the specialized factions. Also, very limited initial supply to independent retailers.

2 packs/ Astra Militarum, Adepta Sororitas, Adeptus Custodes, Imperial Agents
1 pack/ Adeptus Mechanicus, Knight Household

Xenos Index Card bundle (40-29) :10 pack contain:
2 packs/ Tyranids, Ta'u Empire
1 pack/ Aeldari, Necrons, Orks, Drukhari, Genestealer Cults, Leagues of Votann

It's certainly not clear. My understanding is that each bundle contains all the cards for that set (Space Marines, Imperium, Chaos or Xenos) and you get the whole set. So for example, the Space Marine bundle includes the card sets for Space Marines, Dark Angels, Space Wolves, etc, and the whole bundle costs £12.40. A retailer buys them in a pack (Space Marines, Imperium, Chaos or Xenos) that each contains 10 bundles. If that's the case, these would be incredible value and probably the best value product GW have ever released.

I live in Japan, pre-ordes just went up. The packs are being sold separately by subfaction. Some are more expensive than others, based on how many cards are in the individula packs I assume. Example: Blood Angels are 2, 350 yen, Space Marines 3, 370 yen.

I'm just gonna print out the PDFs for the units i use. Even though it's nice to see the cards drop for cheaper than the $35 i was expecting... for the limited amount of time they might be around, i just don't see myself buying any unless they were closer to the $10-15 mark.

I think I'll stick to the free PDF's, a bit expensive for some cards and like you say will be incorrect and unusable very soon!

The pricing makes no sense if it’s per faction instead of the bigger group bundles. Why would Space Marines with the most data sheets be not the most expensive?

Based on current PDF page counts the prices make more sense as bundled prices.
Chaos - 432 pages = 216 cards
Imperium - 458 pages = 229 cards
Space Marines - 482 pages = 241 cards
Xenos - 662 pages = 331 cards

Considering they've already stated the current stats are just an initial and will change aa codex's come out, seems a bit of a push.

The price pack of ten is obviously intended for the retailer, that all these packs are sold in cases of ten of each sku

I want 3 packs, Space Marines, Orks and Necrons.
I'm going to wait a few months to buy these though, I suspect they are going to get updated.
There have already been changes, so I expect reprints will come.

The prices should be 10 max for all of them like it's free and you can print it out why are they being werid for free indexes

I think when they say 10 packs, they just mean 10 packages of cards.
