Really good Video Joe Phenomenal. I was wondering, when you use the Smoothie Bowl if you put some ice cubes in when making Smothies, would that Break/Damage the Blender?

Excellent results, however the base has suction caps that stick to the countertop, If you keep using the preset mode the base will vibrate a lot and in 3 months the base of the unit came off. The base has extended telescopic plastic nodes that extend into the motor and screwed to the top with metal screws. Due to the high vibration, the plastic broke off. Returning this to Costco today.

I complete agree with you on this! I’ve never owned a vitamix but it was either that or a ninja and I went with the ninja because of the MAJOR price difference. It was totally worth it! I love it so much. Before this I had a $15 cheap blender and it was horrible. It wouldn’t crush ice and I had to stop it every minute to stir and incorporate. Such an awful experience, and especially when you’re in a hurry ( and when are we aren’t ). I use this mostly for smoothies but haven’t used it for making dough yet. I think it should be great though! I vote YES on this ninja!

I just returned my $400 Vitamix and got the $129 Costco Ninja. Oh my goodness the Ninja blows the Vitamix out of the water. Best protein shake/smoothie no plunger or extra work

Great review! Just got ours at Costco for $99! Love the individual smoothie and I have never tried a Smoothie Bowl...but love that extra possibility! Cant wait to try it for Maragritas! Thanks Joe!

I'm waiting for this to go on sale at Costco. Is this good enough to use it for chopping/shredding veggies and kneading dough as an all in one kitchen system? Or do you think I'd be better off buying a regular blender for smoothies and a dedicated food processor for the rest?

Can one use this to grind spices? Alternatively can we use the dry grinder attachment on this?

Question: I'm about to pull the trigger. Does Costco stand up to the 100% satisfaction moneyback guarantee? That makes the hugest difference to me. My last smoothie maker was only 42 bucks. It lasted over 4 years. But at this higher priced, and being retired on a fixed income, that guarantee really means a lot. Thanks. Oh, apologies, one more question... do they go on sale at Costco at the holidays? I might wait another week or so if I thought I could save some more. thanks again!

Look at that kitchen. We’ve changed a lot since this video was made. 😊

Had an original ninja blender back in the day. Put that thing through its paces. Blending everyday for years, no issues. I inherited a blendtec. We sold the ninja blender and recouped half the original cost. We put the blendtec through its paces, needing to replace the unit under warranty, and also replacing two pitchers over the years, at like $150 a piece for the pitchers. The bearings in the pitchers wear out too soon in my opinion. Should’ve stayed with the ninja.

Was looking into these and am glad I found your video. I do have a question though, but I’m sure the answer will be a personal opinion and I understand that. At the time you made the video, the Costco version was 1200 watts and the other version was 1400 watts, but now the other version is 1600 watts and comes with the bigger cup. Granted, the price is still drastically different, but in your opinion do you think the 400 watt difference would be noticeable? Or do you think it’s still not enough to notice? Thanks.
