For the most part, flare-ups are a natural part of the process when it comes to injury, pain & chronic conditions. As we should know by now, pain does not necessarily mean that there is physical damage to the body. As such, a flare-up can simply be a precautionary response of the body to something it is unfamiliar with.
Similarly, there are many things that can trigger a flare-up. From our mental state to things that happened in our day, to our lifestyle & even the weather. The key is to think back to your journey of this injury so far. If you have experienced similar symptoms before, then chances are the flare-up you are currently experiencing is nothing to worry about.
This does not mean you should ignore it, however.
Throughout the Knee Program, we will teach you various strategies to keep control of your flare-ups and make sure they don't become a serious problem. We also show you some things to be aware of to indicate if things are a little more sinister.
