E, W&F was the best funk band in the world of all time for me! Since I was 11 years old, when I attended his show in Brazil in 1977, I deeply admired this band. Their use of horns, rhythmic grooves, and harmonies created an instantly recognizable signature sound. E, W&F forever!!!!

I was in the Army when this came out, it has stood the test of time, this is a Charles Stepney Special, Charles Stepney taught the Phenix Horns how to screech, he was EarthWind & Fire's task master, also I remember Quincy Jones questioning Verdine White how he played the chords on this session, they were & still are the baddest band in the land, I saw them in 75, 79, 80, 88, 94, 03, their musicianship is excellent, simply marvelous. 👑
