On ScannerDanner Premium I will bring you right into my classroom at Rosedale Technical College. You will find page for page lectures taken right from my book as well as exclusive classroom type case studies. What is so special about these classroom case studies? I pull live problem vehicles directly into my classroom and we troubleshoot them in real time, using and applying the theory and testing procedures we learn during the classroom lectures. There is no better on-line training of how to troubleshoot automotive electrical and electronics systems anywhere!

I rewatched this series again today after watching it in the past. Wow, this was helpful! So much good information that I missed the 1st time I watched it. I paused the video and took notes so many times, it took me about an hour and a 1/2 to watch this 40 minute video 😊

Great content and knowledge.... Thanks for doing what you do Paul. I myself know that it costs money to get in depth quality training like this and am greatful for Paul Danner. I have also sat denso training classes for advanced waveform diagnostics and was a complete waist of money and honestly felt I knew more than the instructor. Thanks to Paul Danner

That was great, you answered a ton of questions I already had about my Picoscope, so now it's time for me to actually use it. I hope you make more and title them appropriately, because I know you use the scope in alot of your videos, but it's always hard to remember which video made use of the scope, and what was viewed on the scope. Explanation of the trigger was perfect, makes perfect sense now. Having a verbal explanation of the slope helped alot, much better than reading about it.

i wish you would of made this video about a year ago, i bought so many books and dvd's on this when i bought my scope. It took me about 3 months to fully understand how to use it, and you pretty much summed it up in 40 minutes, lol. the trigger was the hardest part for me to understand, but thx again for another great video.

Its weird to me how I have learned more of the techniques I use on a daily basis from you then anything/anyone else. Top 2 tools I use now a test light and a scope. You truly are amazing paul.

So so clear!! Thank you very much, I need to let you know that I speak in Spanish ( of course I understand English, but is not my language ) and I can understood everything you explain perfectly, impressive quality of information thanks again.
By the way, impressive predictive motor and spell check on android for English too lol, was very helpful.

Video may be 6 years old, but very informative and detailed. Thank you for the education

What you need to do with the Verus is save your waveforms on a very small timebase, then zoom out on the capture for your repetition. (save the whole buffer) You just have to remember that the Verus zooms out, not in. So you store your waveforms differently.

Have your paper book and let me tell you what an amazing book it is...thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and this video.
.my tech school was never this thorough on scope settings. Please more more! Keep these case study videos coming as well.

Great work! Especially that you include your OOPS! events. It makes me realize that mistakes are possible but not the end of the world when you make them.

This applies to all scopes for the most part. Maybe a title like, "Scope basics, featuring the Picoscope?" Good stuff as a refresher or for a new tech only using their scope a few times a year.
Once this tool is more familiar to a tech, it becomes their greatest asset!

Yes. All decent scopes will show both AC and DC content in the DC coupling mode. If you set it to AC coupling, it will block all of the DC. I will be showing this in part 2

I know nothing about the tool you're using (I'm not even involved with an automotive field, I'm from IT but have an interest in automotive, etc.) but watching your video was a treat. It was very clear and it's obvious you know what you're talking about. Keep up the great work.
