The battery can recover 80% charge in 30 minutes with a 100kW fast charger and a full charge takes just over seven hours with a 7kW wallbox charger.
UK buyers have options of three petrol, two diesel, and one all-electric powertrain. Petrol engines include the 1.2-litre three-cylinder in 99, 128, or 153bhp versions, all front-wheel drive, with more powerful models available with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel range features a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 108bhp or 128bhp outputs. The less powerful model has a six-speed manual gearbox, while the higher-powered model comes with an eight-speed automatic.
Originally only available as the all-electric e-C4 X, petrol and diesel versions of the C4 X are now approved for the UK market. Options include a 99bhp 1.2-litre three-cylinder with a six-speed manual, and a 128bhp petrol or diesel alternative with an eight-speed automatic. All third-generation C4 versions will feature Citroen's progressive hydraulic suspension, enhancing ride quality by gradually slowing body movement over bumps and potholes.
