I used your advice from previous videos of involving the opponent in the point instead of trying to avoid them and it worked great. I won multiple points in a row and they stopped coming to the net. I just hot the ball hard to them and it was too much to handle LOL

Yeah, keeping the algorithm alive is vital.

I don't like to approach to the net. I am getting old and slow. I get caught on the service line way too often and so do my opponents.

Plus, players at my age can play very precisely and still very hard if they have to. So the only time when I approach the net is when I am absolutely shure that the point is actually mine already.

Off all the concepts of beating an approaching player this would be at the bottom of the list. You can't rely on your opponents ineptitude on volleying.
