Here is my review of the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017. The main issue with this phone is how hot it gets under use and whilst being charged. I had temps of around 80 degrees Celsius causing the phone to become too hot to handle never mind make a call on. Then there is the speed of it. Considering this phone has an 8 core processor I have no idea how Samsung has managed to get such low benchmark scores. It scored 55000 on Antutu where the Google Pixel, a 4 core phone gets over twice that at 122000. Then there is the fingerprint sensor which is utter garbage. No matter how many prints you register it just says "Wipe home key" which makes unlocking the phone with fingerprint slower than using a pin or pattern. I was amazed my handset didn't explode but luckily I managed to send it back before it did. I tweeted Samsung 3 times with a screenshot of the temperature monitoring software I was using and they completely ignored me. Don't make the same mistake I did and buy this phone as you will regret it, especially if it ends up causing injury or burning your house down like the Galaxy Note 7, S7 and S7 Edge has already done. Samsung will never get me back as a customer. Loved the Galaxy S6 but since then they have lost their way completely.
