My lunch lady used to randomly put money on my lunch card when she noticed it was going empty. Miss Mona was an amazing lady that I will remember for the rest of my life.

A lunch lady at my kids' elementary school was like that witch...I would throw a fit and get them fed (I was a lunch aid in the cafeteria)...she'd walk away with their tray if they even owed her a quarter. I'd stare her down and she'd walk away without the tray. So many stories about that woman...I guess this kinda triggers me..
It's been 20 plus years and it still ticks me off.

This country needs to make school breakfast and lunches free for all kids. This is heartbreaking especially knowing it really happens. No one can say it's a just a video it really happens these poor kids starve at school and who knows what happens at home.

Man, I was so lucky to personally know the lunch lady in elementary school. She paid my lunch so many times. Being polite also goes a long way once you're older. I would ask the lunch ladies how they were and small talk. Eventually they'd just cover it and tell me to pay it when I could

I've ran into this.! I worked at a school. I've even bought lunches for ids. And watched kids throw lunch away. ... Feed these children, it's not their fault. Poor parents.
