So we actually have Vice City in Rage before GTA 6... Rockstar messed up so much that even DE couldn't hold community from it. (Funny how a bunch of modders back in Russia created actual Definitive Edition like we wanted but Rockstar paying millions and owning the Rage Engine couldn't).

I just installed this mod and I can say this is amazing. They even have side missions like top fun! And weapon spawn locations are exactly the same! This mod made me so happy. Thanks to everyone who worked in this project.

Thanks for making this video, more people need to know about this mod and what Take-Two is doing to take it down even though modders are the only reason the older games that they're still SELLING BTW are even running properly today.

Yes! I'm so glad these modders were smart enough to not just straight up reveal who they are and where they live like some other modders do. I can't count how many amazing mods would exist if it weren't for take two. Someone was remastering the entire game of San Andreas in the unreal engine back in 2021 and that got shutdown as well. I'm downloading the vice city remake as I write this comment and also downloaded the trailers because I know eventually take two gonna find some way to stop the mod from being distributed. (At least distributed from the devs 😉)

What Rockstar should have done:
- Cut a deal with these modders
- Give it a final polish
- Release it officially
- Let them also remaster San Andreas in the same way

Could have been a win win situation for everyone involved
