Everything we do, we should do to the glory of the Lord. As a guitarist, God has given me a wonderful gift to worship him with. He is the God who crated music.

The ability to make music is a gift from God. There is no limit to any instrument used to celebrate the Lord. I pray for those who seem to insist that God must be worshipped in a certain way. That thinking is what leads to atrocities committed in the name of the Lord.

I’m the worship leader at my church, and believe that all instruments can be used for worship! It’s not the instrument that’s being played, it’s the heart, and motive of the person worshipping God! If your heart, or motives are wrong, that’s when it will be rejected by the Lord!

Psalm 150 is really an answer to this type of comment. No way can anyone read that and realistically claim guitar isn't acceptable for worship. Another thing I find interesting about such comments is, the Internet isn't mentioned in the Bible, yet people use the internet for church and stuff.

For me, it’s really simple. The ancient worshipers used every instrument they had at their disposal. If they were alive in this time, they would be using the same instruments that we are using now to Worship the one true God

Amazing Charl! Very well explained. Thank you……. Unfortunately there are those who do not understand Christian Expression. The “nuts and bolts “ of music are the same in all genera of music. The concept of “Worship Guitar” is more about intention. Perhaps much like using a tool such as a hammer to build a house that has a specific style, my guitar is a tool with which I express an inner reality for a specific purpose and in a specific way. I suppose that people who do not think that they are called to do something might think that no one else is, either. In my experience, though, I have seen God take anything offered to Him in faith and use it for His glory and to bless and encourage people. Maybe those are the questions we should be asking. Is this giving glory to God? Is it blessing or encouraging anyone? I have been blessed and encouraged by Charl and the WGS lessons, and I am giving God glory for them. This world sorely needs more people who are worshipping God in spirit and in truth! God bless you all!!!

― John Wesley. For a long time guitar was frowned on in use for a role in worship. I struggle with this. I've seen some churches that it's more of a concert than Mass. I love the guitar, but in the end I need to ask is it honoring and worshiping God, or stroking egos and entertaining.
