Watch what PM Modi said on anti-farm bill protest; Congress, Left join agitation

A day after tweeting in defence of contentious agriculture-related legislations recently cleared by the Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly addressed India's farmers during an event on Bihar infrastructure projects. After launching projects like highway expansion and bridge construction, PM Modi said that the positive impact of the farm reform was already being seen since the latest moves had been implemented via ordinances a few months ago. Citing examples of potato and pulse procurement and higher price realised by farmers, PM Modi said that this showed why some people were suddenly agitating as they saw control slip out of their hands. A day earlier, unruly scenes had been witnessed in the Rajya Sabha as Opposition MPs had sought division of votes in connection with two of the three farm-related bills. Their appeals had been denied and the bills were passed by the Parliament's Upper House with a voice vote. The President's assent is now awaited before the bills become law. PM Modi said that the legislation aimed to liberate farmers from constraints of the current system. Meanwhile, Opposition parties like Congress and Communist Party of India (Marxist) sought to bolster farmers' protests by agitating in Chennai, Delhi and Ludhiana. Some farmers have opposed the bills claiming that they are a precursor to dismantling of the minimum support price (MSP) system.

A masterstroke indeed by PM Modi-ji and BJP!
As received in my Whatsapp...reasons for protest for parties with vested interest:
The Agricultural Bill has been passed by both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.
Now watch the game behind this Bill.
Agriculture Bill is like Demonetization Part 2. Yes, the Demonetization had destroyed all those, who kept the stock of black money. Similarly, two heavy weights of Punjab and Maharashtra are ruined now, by this Bill.
Sukhbir Badal of Punjab and Sharad Pawar of Maharashtra have been sent Packing.
Sukhbir Agro of Sukhbir Badal had an income of at least ₹5000 crores annually. He was the commission agent between FCI and farmers. His company used to get 2.5% commission. All the warehouses belonged to him. No farmer could sell a tonne of wheat to the FCI without the tag of Sukhbir Agro. All wasted in one stroke.
In Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar's Daughter Supriya Sule used to show agricultural income of ₹10000 crores. This family had control over the entire Onion, Chilli and Grape Trade. This Bill left Pawar nowhere.
Modi cuts the Root, does not cut the Branches.
The Akali Dal and the NCP will be seen Begging in the next Election.

This is how one does Corporatization. The media is quick to tag opposition as protesting. Actually there are farmers who don't belong to both sides.

Prime Minister, we are proud of you. But the only expectation is to answer the following as an honest principal servant. 1) Was the Swaminathan Commission and its recommendations to be implemented? 2) Was he going to double the income by giving guarantee to the farmer? 3) Was he going to set up an industry based on food and food production? 4) Special financial provision was to be made for world class agricultural education system and research? 5) Were all market committees free brokers? 6) Farmers were to become self-reliant? I hope you will answer
