@naveen, one correction. Single line is only between Ernakulam to Ambalapuzha. From Ambalapuzha it's double line South.

Yes they have cut down some of the route from January 1 onwards like eranad cut down to tvm instead of Nagercoil, sabari express won't go to shornur junction anymore instead they allowed stops at wadakkanchery and ottappalam, ernakulam tata nagar express will be updated to run 4 days a week instead of 2 from February onwards, rumours hearing coimbatore banglore vande Bharat to extend till Ernakulam junction and banglore coimbatore Uday double decker till palakkad

Pls try Parashuram express from mangalore to trivandrum or Nagercoil. This is more famous than ernad amongst office goers, students and daily travelers.
