There's a reason that chains can't be used to make chainmail armour: chainmail is made from a much finer chain than a physical chain, so a suit made of chains would be very heavy, clunky and ineffective armour

That sheep one is the same as saying "you can burn skeletons with lava but you cant burn bone blocks with lava even when its technically part of the skeleton"

Also the fact that Steve can carry a bucked made of iron filled with lava from hell in his pockets

With the chest one it would be a good way to hide really good loot in your base

Chains aren't Chainmail. But I could see that becoming an addition, 4 chains = 1 Chainmail, then you got Chainmail Armor.

The signs thing makes sense because signs are entity and not a block

Chain armor can't be crafted but it can be obtained from mobs such as zombies and skeletons.

1. Crafting tables and beds cannot be burned
2. In bedrock you can shoot through doors but not fences
