Here’s a guide as a junior!
6th grade-
Skincare-
1. Face wash
2. Moisturizer
3. Sunscreen
Makeup-
1. A single dot of concealer
2. Mascara
3. Lip gloss
Clothing essentials-
1. Baggy tee’s
2. Comfy leggings
3. Either soft shorts or denim shorts
Tips-
Keep things basic!
Trust me when I say that 6th grade is the BEST year to boost your social status. Start talking to people and really try to make new friends. Keeping gum on you is a great way to casually make friends when they want a piece!
7th grade-
Skincare-
This is when your skin may start to get bad. But don’t freak out! Acne happens to almost everyone!
1- go with a basic cleanser. I recommend Neutrogena’s hydro boost gel cleanser!
2- Clinique has a WONDERFUl salicylic acid that helped me so much!
3- moisturizer! Cetaphil is great for kids!
4- sunscreen!
Makeup-
1. Concealer
2. Blush
3. Mascara
4. Lip gloss
Clothes-
You start dressing more mature around this age so this is what I recommend!
1. Tank tops (nothing cropped or too cropped if your school allows it!)
2. Denim shorts
3. SWEATPANTS!! I literally wore them all year!
4. Baggy jeans
5. Converses are such a cute shoe that goes with everything!
Tips-
This age is when a lot starts changing; and people can start to be really mean. But just keep your head high and really focus on your grades. It’ll really help to prepare you for high school!
8th grade-
Skincare-
This is when yall can start getting more expensive products and wearing more stuff that won’t harm your skin!
1. Face wash- I highly recommend Clinique’s all about clean gel cleanser. It left my skin so soft
2. Serum- keep it simple. I recommend glow recipe’s ceramide’s for even toning and getting rid of redness!
3. Moisturizer- byoma’s is so good!
4. Sunscreen- I can’t really give recommendations because I’m allergic to it but it’s still a really important step!
Makeup-
Yall can start wearing really whatever unless you have strict parents but here’s what I did!
1. Concealer under eyes and on red spots.
2. Blush on cheeks.
3. Light contour just to sculpt
4. Mascara
5. Lip gloss
Clothes-
Yall when I’m telling you crew necks and leggings WILL be your bsf in 8th I literally mean it with my whole heart.
1. Crew necks
2. Tank tops
3. Sweatpants
4. Baggy tees
I didn’t love jeans in 8th but that’s js my opinion!
9th- enjoy high school!!!
Skincare-
Still keep it simple!
1. Cleanser- I’ve recently been using LaRoche-Posay. Literally my fav.
2. Moisturizer- bubble is such an amazing brand like I love everything from them!
3. Serum- glow recipes plum serum is literally fire.
4. SPF!!
Makeup-
Ngl high school is so tiring so there were days I didn’t put anything on! And that’s 100% okay you don’t NEED to wear makeup!
1. Concealer for under eyes and red spots
2. Blush
3. Contour
4. Mascara
5. Lip balm (I started hating the greasy feel of lip gloss!)
Clothes-
Yall trust me when I say flare jeans were so cute to me! Like I literally loved them with a nice fitting crew neck.
1. Jewelry- forever 21 has such amazing jewelry for so cheap too!
2. Flare jeans
3. Long baby tees- SO CUTE
4 leggings- for the lazy days
Tips-
Yall. I literally beg of you to put school first. If you get stressed out PLEASE talk to someone. My mental health went to crap because my work load got too big. Know what you can handle and remember your limits. Grades start to get super important in high school so don’t slack!! And DONT procrastinate like I did!!
10th-
Skincare-
1. Cleanser- again, Laroche-Posay is so good.
2. Moisturizer- I used bubble’s moisturizer all last year!
3. Serum- I recommend starting to use toner. I love the watermelon one from glow recipe!
4. SPF!!
Makeup-
I promise yall are gonna start struggling to get out of bed in 10th 😭
1. Concealer!
2. Blush
3. Bronzer
4. Mascara
5. Lip gloss
Clothes-
1. I’m still in love with flare jeans
2. Leggings!!!
3. Jackets!!
4. Crew necks!!
Tips-
Classes start becoming more career based in 10th so just have fun!!!

Fav makeup brands-
Yall I’m cheap so I get drugstore most of the time 😭
1. Nyx- concealer
2. Maybelline- blush
3. Benefit- mascaras are so underrated
4. Elf- lip gloss

Remember that yall don’t need to wear makeup, it’s totally just a personal preference of what you want. A lot of people don’t even wear makeup till high school. Peer pressure can also start getting bad around middle school, so just remember your goals and opinion of what you should and shouldn’t do!
