Rural Water Supply - World's Shortest Tanker Shuttle

Показать описание
Our pump operator class is practicing tanker shuttle operations. Staying within the confines of our fire house tarmac, we set up an engine drafting from a dump tank, which then supplies a gated manifold that is used to fill the tanker. Once filled, the tanker pulls forward a few feet and dumps water into a dump tank that is feeding our Quint, which is flowing 500 GPM from its aerial master stream device. Once empty, the tanker backs up and the cycle is repeated. Our goals for this training scenario involve practicing the tanker make-n-break connections and drafting skills. This little operation allows the class to see all of the basic components of a tanker shuttle, without having the operations stretched out far apart.
