I'd say the dad might've died from overdose of what could be seen as alcohol and the mom commited suicide due to it. The kid probably died from lack of sleep and actually just insomnia, which is why everything is so dead on day 5. This is just what i think but i think it makes sense.

I once saw a spider crossing my bathroom floor and I tried to kill it but it wasn't there after I had picked up the towel

I had insomnia for a pretty long while ago and heck yeah, this is such an accurate game. I could not get much sleep much of the time none and i saw spiders and insects that were in my room.
I tried to kill them all it was like a nest in my room, and once i blinked they got smaller and smaller so i when i blinked enough they all were gone.. it was pretty scary for me at the time but i got to sleep not that long after, which i am so appreciated that i got the gift to sleep.

As someone with diagnosed chronic insomnia since 2006, you don't start seeing things in the corner of your eye til after day 3. Day 4 and 5 is where your brian starts making stuff up and your reaction time is affected. Drinking water helps a little though, because your brain is dehydrated when being used so much witbout rest. The longest ive stayed up was almost 9 days, had to be hospitalized, 10 outta 10 do not recommend ! Was put into an induced coma 😅😅😅

I'm a chronic insomniac. I only sleep between 1 to 3 hours a night. The longest period I've ever gone with actually zero sleep was 6 nights. I was a blubbering wreck at the doctors and because I'm already taking 3 types of sleeping pills, they couldn't help me. My body eventually took the reigns and konked out. I'll take an hour a night or two nights of back to back no sleep if it means I never have to be conscious for that long again.

I prefer games that dont have jumpscares in them, simply because it seems like a cheap way of scaring someone. I want something that will genuinely send chills down my spine as I make terrible realizations. Something psychological. That's some good horror.

I once had insomnia after i had finished school. I saw all my friends talking and playing and it made me smile, but then they all looked at me and smiled creepily. Suddenly, a loud demonic voice said "this isnt real. Wake up. Nothing exists." Then they all lost their head and fell to the floor. Then tgey disappeared. That was one of the scariest things that ever happened to me. It might not seem so bad, but remember. This wasnt a game. I SAW this.

This game reminded me of a point in my life where i had to stay awake for 2 days straight due to some troubling circumstances. During the 3rd day i was awake for around 60 hours.
The moment I finally realized I have finished whatever tasks I had to do, I went home. First thing i did was sit on the couch, just sitting and staring at a turned off TV. Idk for how long i stayed like that.
All of the sudden the TV turns on, i immediately looked at the table infront of the couch where the tv remote sits on top of, and it was there, not in my hand.
I felt a hand on my right shoulder and when i looked to my right, I saw a faceless humanoid black figure, with their face facing the tv and their left hand on my shoulder.
"It" gesture to me to look to my left, I did and i saw a lady in black dress with something covering her eyes sitting to my left. I noticed she's holding something in her hand, it was scissors. She looked at me and said: "You can put an end to this". she raised the scissors and I almost went for it to take it from her...
I stopped and looked to my right and left, telling myself that I've finally lost it. No matter how many times i looked they were still there.
I decided to just lie on the ground in front of couch and close my eyes, i said loudly: "whatever happens, happens"
I woke up to a friend looking nervous at me, telling me i haven't replied to anyone for the past 20 hours. As i was trying to get a hold of my surroundings, i felt something in my hand and it was scissors, then i saw the tv remote on the couch and not on the table. And the tv was on.

I decided to never ever let this happen to me again, I'll sleep, take naps if i have to. idgaf I'm not going through this again.
Cuz i still remember the scary thoughts that raced through my head during that whole thing before i managed to sleep.
