Στο Θέατρο Τέχνης έγινε έπαρση της Σημαίας της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας δυστυχώς μετά απο 49 χρόνια σχεδόν μίσο αιώνα η Κύπρος παραμένει ενα Διχοτομημένο Νησί δεν ξεχνάμε ποτέ.
Το μήνυμα του Ιστορικού Ηγέτη και ιδρύτη του Θεάτρου Τέχνης Γεωργίου Ευγενίου είναι εξαιρετικά Συντονισμένο με τα σημερινά γεγονότα στόν Κόσμο.
Σε μία πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα συνέντευξη μας μιλάει ο ιδρυτής του Θεάτρου Τέχνης Γεώργιος Ευγενίου για τα γεγονότα σήμερα την Κύπρο και βεβαίως το Θέατρο, καθώς επίσης και ο Κυριος Steve Constandine Trustee και μακροχρόνιο μέλος της κοινότητας του Θεάτρου !!!
Cypria - [Μια δευτερεύουσα αφήγηση της επικής ζωής του ημι-θρυλικού Στασινού, χαμένου ποιητή της Κύπρου], είναι ένα σατιρικό έργο για τα απραγματοποίητα όνειρα και την ιστορική διαγραφή του Stasinus, γνωστού ως «ο χαμένος ποιητής της Κύπρου». Σε σενάριο και σκηνοθεσία της Έλενας Παυλή και ερμηνεία της Λούσυ Χριστοφή Κρίστι, αυτό το τμήμα είναι απόσπασμα μιας μεγαλύτερης παράστασης. ΣΥΓΓΡΑΦΕΑΣ / ΣΚΗΝΟΘΕΤΗΣ:
Η Έλενα Παυλή είναι θεατρική συγγραφέας, τηλεοπτική συγγραφέας και ηθοποιός. Η νομαδική παιδική της ηλικία περιελάμβανε μετακίνηση μεταξύ Αγγλίας, Σαουδικής Αραβίας, Κύπρου και Αυστραλίας. Το πρώτο ολοκληρωμένο έργο της Έλενας THE BAD, THE SAD & THE BROKEN-HEARTED, παίχτηκε στο Soho Theatre και στο Steve Allen Theatre στο Λος Άντζελες. Έχει επίσης γράψει σε πολλές τηλεοπτικές σειρές συμπεριλαμβανομένου του SNATCH για Sony/Crackle TV.
Η Έλενα είναι απόφοιτος του The Central School Of Speech and Drama και έχει παίξει σε θέατρα τόσο μακρινά γεωγραφικά όσο το The Globe και το The Sydney Opera House. Αυτή τη στιγμή εργάζεται ως επιτελική συγγραφέας καθώς και γράφει τη δική της τηλεοπτική σειρά.

THE PLAY:
Cypria - [A minor retelling of the epic life of the semi-legendary Stasinos, lost poet of Cyprus], is a satirical play about the unrealised dreams and the historical erasure of Stasinus, known as the 'lost poet of Cyprus'. Written and directed by Elena Pavli and performed by Lucy Christofi Christy, this segment is an excerpt of a longer play. THE WRITER / DIRECTOR:
Elena Pavli is a playwright, TV writer and actor. Her nomadic childhood included moving between England, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus and Australia.Elena's first full length play THE BAD, THE SAD & THE BROKEN-HEARTED, was performed at Soho Theatre and the Steve Allen Theater in Los Angeles. She has also written on several television series including SNATCH for Sony/Crackle TV.
Elena is a graduate of The Central School Of Speech and Drama and has performed in theatres as geographically distant as The Globe and The Sydney Opera House. She is currently working as a staff writer as well as writing her own television series.
THE ACTOR:
Lucy Christofi Christy attended Rose Bruford Drama School obtaining a BA Degree. She has worked extensively both in the UK and abroad in theatre, feature films, short films, music videos, radio, voice-over work and TV in Greek and English.
Theatre includes both modern and the classics: A View From The Bridge, Oedipus, Italian American Reconciliation, Macbeth. Yerma, Medea Redux, Hecuba, Invitation to a Beheading, Back to Hackney and many one women plays including Giorgos Neophytou’s Manoli!
Her Greek work includes working for many years with Theatro Technis in the UK and Cyprus touring plays and played the lead for a Cyprus TV Series co-directed by George Eugeniou and Maroulla Avramidou. Lucy also worked with LGR on the comedy radio series The Haringeyers.
In Cyprus she has also worked on play’s with Theatro Ena and Alpha Square and on Costas Dimitriou’s film Road to Ithaka and Panicos Chrysanthou’s Akamas [Wiinner Venice Film Festival]
Lucy has worked on many award winning short films including Vicki Psarias Broken with Peter Polycarpou, Lou Panteli’s An Unsuitable Boy, Sea Urchins. She has worked on plays with Sam Neofytou and his TV pilot Bubbles about the Greek & Cypriot community in the UK where she met Elena Pavli. More recently Karine Bedrossian’s short films and Antony Petrou’s soon to be released In All The Dark Corners.
