The problem with Tim Ferriss is that he claims to have done x and y by using methods that makes sense, but we won't ever know whether he really used those methods or even if he actually did what he claims having done. The kickboxing championship for example wasn't won by fighting. He just found a way to be heavier than others on the day of the tournament and used it to push others outside of the boundaries.

I am also a Tim Ferriss fan (I have two of his books). Although I haven't read this book. I disagree with the notion that someone can master anything in just 12 months! In Tools for Titans Tim says he tried to Master Tennis and got one of the best coaches to teach him. He described how he struggled with tennis and does mention he improves alot but I highly doubt that he mastered the skill and shot up to the top 5% in the world! I also have played the sport for many years and know how difficult it is to master. The Pros play just about every day 4-6 hours a day. If someone only played tennis for 1 year there is no way they would even qualify for a grand slam tournament. I see the value in this book and like how Tim creates systems for success in a short timeframe but there are some things that just can not be mastered in such a short time frame.
