Michael Jackson worked with Al on "Eat It" and also on 'Fat". MJ liked Al's humor so much that he gave him the access to both sets from the videos, and some of the dancers. A true collaboration! 👍

FUN FACT: Weird Al actually hired as many actors/dancers from Michael Jackson's "Beat It" video as he could for this in order to make it look as authentic as possible.

If you watch both videos side-to-side, you'll see most of the same dancers in both of them.

I had to comment on this one. I'm a long-time Weird Al fan, and I was in middle school when this came out. I don't have to tell you how big "Beat It" was, but "Eat It" came out shortly after and it Blew. Up. Everyone was listening to both, it was huge! For years after Weird Al was referred to as "The Eat It Guy". Great reaction, I'm glad you've discovered the magic that is Weird Al!

Try "Living With A Hernia" where he parodies James Brown.

Beat It was on every radio in America every ten minutes for six months. Even liking the song, there was just so much of it I could take, and it was a relief when Weird Al's funny version of it came out, so you could sing his lyrics when either song was played.
