The "exploration" wordplay is freaking hilarious 😂😂😂

This is exactly the kind of video we need more of. The weapons available provide huge versatility but also much confusion. I have the Corsair and admittedly don’t drive it much because of the slow speeds and mfd lag bug. That being said to describe each loadout using multiple situations is super helpful. I struggle with combining different weapon types and usually default to repeaters because fully grasping how each weapon type interacts and preforms in mixed loadout situations is a daunting task. It would be awesome to see this for the Tana or maybe the Buccaneer. I feel like both of those ships have huge potential with proper loadouts due to multiple hard points in different sizes.

Your videos are amazing and you have an obvious talent in articulating complex topics in an easy to understand way. Thank you for taking the time to put this tutorial together.

I bought the Corsair in game and I will not lie, I regretted it instantly... BUT, I forced myself to fly it constantly, refitted it in a gimble laser repeater build, upgraded shields etc and now, after 2 weeks of learning how to fly it, I actually love it. It's a bit wonky, noisy and slow, but it reminds me of what something like a military truck would be. it's basic, but very functional.

I run a Corsair with 4 size 5 deadbolt ballistics and gimballed lasers on the wings. The lasers on the wing are great for smaller more maneuverable targets and the deadbolts, while only having 70 shots, can kill a reclaimer in only about 7-8 rounds from each gun, giving me a less than 30 second kill and 7 kills before reloading.

Let's be honest, this ain't an exploration ship as it only explores the internals of your enemies.

tips --> bind same key for wings fold and landing gear, then you wont forget

Before i got my retaliator bomber, the corsair is my go to EXPLORATION ship for group ert. I go with full fixed ballistic gatling build which can easily complete the bounty. The downside are the thrusters hp issues which can be quite annoying as missile are harder to flare off now and the frequent restock. But nonetheless corsair is still a pretty solid exploration ship for bounty hunting.

The designers of this ship were not fine diners or else they'd know better than to misplace the toilet.
Great comprehensive review

It's so funny you made this video. I have literally pledged a Corsair, FOUR times. I've melted it for this and that but keep coning back to it as changes are made. I really want to like it. For those getting hit by missiles, I suggest you set your decoy burst to 5 for the Corsair. It has a larger EM and Cross section signature than the Constellations.

I spent last night testing between my 4th pledged Corsair and an in game purchased Aquila. I also have a 600i and Carrack but for medium sized daily dtivers, these two compete head to head. If you're using the cannon loadout, I suggest engaging smaller, faster targets using staggered mode.

Also, you can conserve a lot of boost by not using your main thrusters, standing in place and just allocating boost to your maneuvering thrusters. This will help you keep nose on target much better and longer.

I haven't even watched your video yet but rest assure, im looking forward to it. I've compared these two platforms tirelessly.

Excellent coverage on this ship. it is a situational ship imo. My favorite right now too. I have been doing 4xM7A and 2xM6A taking all gimbals off, I'm gonna try the distortion and change my stick to fire the M7A's first then stage 2 the distortion.

Great content as always, very informative. Your videos have come a long way since I started watching so it is great to see the progress you have made. I've got a CCU to a Corsair that I have a sudden urge to dust off now.

I went with two size 3 disruptors on the wings while having the base laser cannons and two Rev Gatlings. Honestly a lot of fun

Trick to service beacons. There seems to be an unwritten rep to them. Whenever you see one pop up on your mission offerings, fly to that location first then accept. Keep doing this 5-10 times whenever they pop up, and after that you'll be seeing them everywhere. It's almost annoying how often they pop up on the banner. This has worked for me since last year, so I'd say it's fairly reliable. You just have to take every beacon you see, regardless of how far away it is. Just make sure not to accept it until you're in the vicinity. Otherwise the ship you're trying to defend will blow up bf you get there, failing the beacon.

I run into trouble with Critical Threat service beacons as the Idris can be a bit much for the Corsair. Definitely helps to have a friend with a Retaliator lurking around. With a 350k payout, it's worth sharing the loot. The trick to critical threat beacons is you need to be prepared to disengage your target to focus fire on the ships engaging with your ally. This has been difficult with the Corsair. The Scorpius used to handle it well until they made the AI a bit more intelligent, lol.

FYI: Whenever I successfully complete a beacon, I always use left bracket to give it a positive rating. Idk if this affects anything with rep, but I do it just for good measure. Seems to work out.

I would like to see CIG give the Corsair a moderate agility/ turn rate BUFF in atmosphere-only. Look at the size of those WINGS, man. This would add some more quirky personality traits to this wonderful ship.

The Corsair is my number one ship. Yes she’s slow but she has great potential with upgrades . Harder shields makes it harder to take her down and the weapons load out is great. She can adapt to differt scenarios, great fro bounty hunting, hauling/transport / exploring, and a great home when you aren’t making port anytime soon.

Thanks been hoping you would review that one. I just traded it in for a 600I explorer. I’m looking forward to the refit.
