Humanity's Last Breath: **destroys Earth**
Vildhjarta: **rebuilds it**

vildhjarta is the only band to only drop a record every ten years and still be ahead of the curve

Calle did a Q&A on insta after this release, one of the questions went like this

Q. “If you had to choose a food related with the new song, what would it be?”

A. “Poisonous mushrooms.”

Art was made by Rickard Westman.

He did the art for Måsstaden, Thousands of Evils, and Måsstaden Under Vatten too.

Real vildhjarta fans have had that riff at the end on repeat for over a year waiting for this drop

It would be impossible for Nik to do a 'How to Vildhjarta in 30 seconds' 😉

there is simply nobody like Vildhjarta. They are absolutely unmatched and I don't understand how they keep one upping themselves...like they just cannot miss

From a drummers perspective this is so cool, I love that he's leaving breathing room and not just blast beating and throwing fills in left, right and centre, it builds up slowly and then hits like a truck when something crazy does come in. Not to downplay drummers who do just go at 100% throughout an entire song, that shit takes a ton of refined technique and stamina, but I personally prefer drum parts that are cleverly thought out and have changes in pace at the right time.

Listening to Vildhjarta feels like getting lost in a swedish forest at night

Here are the English lyrics:

Drown me in gasoline
Let me feel again
The absence of sensations
A gaping emptiness
By death's cold bed
The shell of my former self
Lost in perceptions
Lost in perceptions
In the past

Drown me in gasoline
Let it be my grave
How they dance in front of me
My memories like smoke
Endless forms of mocking souvenirs
Perceptions
I get lost in them

Between my fingers
Beyond all control
When the future becomes distant
The past
And time a vacuum
All memories' tomb
Then drown me in gasoline
Let it be my grave

See how they dance in front of me
Like smoke
Endless forms
Perceptions
I get lost in them

The synapses sing in a choir
Flames lick me
In freedom, I am reborn
Marked by hopelessness
Broken and defeated
A fortress of disappointments
Lost souls sing
The prologue of doom

The painting
The dreaming
The lost
Who are you?
Who advocate for the existence of hope
About a day after this
Endless night
Who are you?

Wandering over the fields
The seeking crowd
Misled by promises
About soulful anesthesia
Who are you?

this song is when everyone does the group homework separated and then put it together the day of presentation

No matter what era of their music you listen to, there is something so distinct sounding about their songs that you can immediately identify them solely by how they play. It’s an instantaneous response in your mind that says “That’s Vildhjarta!” That I find so amazingly unique about this band.

There is simply nothing else like it.

I use to think they were the 'future of metal' but man there's been many imitators and no one that truly captures the sheer genius of their compositions. Bands like Vildhjarta are akin to a massive shooting star in a meteor shower. Yeah, there's others, but there's that one that shines ever more brightly than the others.

Incredible band.

Did you catch that the last minute of the song was teased in May last year?
Incredible track, I was so excited to hear the context of the riff they teased. So happy to finally hear the final product
