Amjad, thanks. You brought up an important issues around the number zero. It enabled me to appreciate descriptive statistics. Just because one gets "zero" in their grades. The zero (value) does not take away the fact that the student does not have a grade (property of a feature).

4. If you have an open-end continuous series, which measures of central tendency do
you recommend representing this series? Why?
5. If we have frequency distribution which is almost, but not quite, symmetrical and
whose mean and mode are 27 and 29 respectively, what will be the appropriate value
of the median?
6. Scores on a final exam taken by 150 students have a symmetric distribution with
mean 72 and standard deviation 9. What is the median score on the exam?
7. The average score of a special test of knowledge of wood refinishing has a mean of
53 and standard deviation of 6. Find the range of values in which at least 75% the
scores will lie.
8. In a moderately asymmetrical distribution, the mode minus the mean is 2.4 the
coefficient of variation and skewness are 20% and -0.5 respectively.
