Amir, I absolutely applaud you for this video. I had actually recently lost a close friend once I showed an ounce of empathy for the innocent people killed in Israel even when I emphasised that I felt sorry with the heavy loses on BOTH sides. Like you said, I did not want to step into such a nuanced discussion without being that educated about it, but this person belittled and shamed me for not being 'educated' and accused me of possibly being responsible for the crimes in Palestine because of my hesitance to support them and me refusing to choose a side. I haven't talked to this person since and another friend suggested that if this person did not respect my opinion on a discussion, then it was not worth it to stay in that friendship. So if anyone is reading this who may have a similar experience, I also advice you to do the same. Don't be bullied into choosing a side. Be brave and choose yourself.

I say thank you once again for supporting people who do not want to “rush to judgment” or to “pick a side” . The extremism in our culture is out of control and leads to people being afraid to express their true opinions. Cancel culture sucks and is an attempt to deny people of their ability to think freely and express individualized personal opinions. As one of the few Palestinians out there that absolutely condemn Hamas’s actions and their existence as a whole thank you. It’s sad how brainwashed my people and their supporters are. Hamas are the supposed governors of Gaza but they don’t do anything to help their own people cuz they use the donated money and resources to build weapons just to try and kill as many Israeli civilians as possible. If they cared about their own people they wouldn’t dig up their own people’s water pipes to make them into rockets and post a video proudly bragging about it. They would’ve used their underground tunnels to bring in more resources instead of weapons. But no they see their own people including children as “martyrs” and a means to their own end. Then they brainwash their people by blaming the lack of clean water, food, and other resources on Israel. The leaders also sit comfortably in mansions in Qatar and in private jets hoarding millions of dollars while their people suffer. But of course Palestinians and their supporters are too brainwashed to understand this. And it’s so disappointing. I’ve lost friends because how dare i question or criticize Hamas.

Thank you for saying this. I cannot stand how the modern day culture borderline FORCES you to pick a side in a conflict between two countries most of us will never set foot in. I hate seeing people die on any side of the issue, but don't tell me that I have to speak up about their problems when I'm more or less living just barely above the poverty line in my own country. As someone who lives in Israel, I hate how people overseas act like they know everything about this conflict based on 3 tik toks, and ask us to do stuff they intervene and make the situation more complicated and a bigger divide.

Like literally if you go on a vacation outside the country you can't say that you are a Jew from Israel because its a security risk

I was on my way home this afternoon and came across a pro Palestine rally. My friend asked me my take on the situation. I was honest and said I don't know enough about what's going on, how this started, why it's happening to have an opinion. I just think it's shitty that innocent people are caught in the middle and losing their lives. Sometimes it's okay to not say anything for or against.

Amir I appreciate you for this, as an Israeli, because there are many people who know/understand nothing about this bloody conflict but still choose a side without admitting they have no idea what's going on! This is why education and history and facts matter. When you don't have ALL the facts, you can't make a choice.

But for all those wandering, let me just say that I am both for Israel and the Palestinians, because both have right for self-determination in the Holy Land in my opinion. This war, however, is not against Palestinians, but against a(n Iranian proxy) terrorist group who controls the people of Gaza. They are constantly getting hurt because of these wars just like us and this is why it has to end. Hamas gotta go, and Palestinians have to be free of them. We also owe this to our Iranian sisters and brothers who fight every day the deadly regime that funds Hamas. This is not just Israel's war on terrorism.
