The vast majority of people are unaware of this fresco. Most Egyptologists, in fact, attempt to present ancient Egypt backwards. That civilization is attributed to the delta area. They appointed the people who lived in that region and who were influenced by the numerous Asian invasions of Kemet as rulers of Kemet in our minds.
So, according to them, a group of "Mediterranean Olive skinned and especially non-Black" individuals started Egypt in the north and then spread south to conquer, Egyptianize and civilize Black Africa. The people of Delta have always been subject to non-African influence due to its proximity to Asiatic countries. Through time they started to change physically and were also replaced by numerous foreigners who settled in the region for millennia, way before the Hyksos invasion.
That's why scholars love to use their depictions as the face of ancient Egypt. This is due to the fact that even though they were very dark skinned, they developed features that most people don't attribute to Black Africans like curly hair, aquiline noses, for example.
The truth is that the Nubians in the south were the true rulers and builders of that civilization. All of Kemet's great rulers came from the south, and depictions of the people from Upper Kemet, the royals and nobles' tombs all depict Egyptians the same way as the people of Nubia (other Black Africans). I have recently shared a post in our community page about that. We have numerous sources. Doing research about that made me understand how vicious Egyptologists were. They show us what they want us to see. It could be a minority, but since it is always put on the front, we end up believing that this all that is.
So, these images are never shared to the public. Scholars have decided to flip the script. That is why the majority of people who debate us believe Ancient Egypt was a Mediterranean civilization that expanded south. That is not correct. It was a Nubian civilization that spread north. That's literally the narrative in the Edfu texts and also on the Narmer's pallete.
