That is so awesome that your dad cuts your hair for you. My husband cuts my long hair for me, and has been doing it for years. He capes me first, uses the the wide tooth comb to comb out my hair, sections it just behind my ear on each side, pins it up and then lets it down in increments to trim each layer. He is very meticulous like your dad. I wear my hair in different braids, so I don’t want layers in my hair as it makes the braids look ratty. He never got a license, but he learned to cut hair from a female friend who had her license, but trusted him more than her coworkers to cut her hair. She said he had a knack for it, but he was in the military and he choose to make a career out of it. Which now he is collecting his retirement pay for. He does mine, his daughter’s hair when she visits as well as giving haircuts to a couple friends of mine.
