Hi Anthony, thanks for sharing. I forgot to mention, once you've made your Luminance adjustments you can use the Balance slider to fine tune it a little more. Blending only works with colour.

Very timely. Thanks, Anthony and Chris. Just yesterday I was trying to adjust the midtones of an image without affecting the shadows or highlights. I tried doing it with Curves, but that didn't work very well. This is just what I need.

Great tip Anthony and for sharing it with us.

I discovered that when I first saw the color grading. Since I had no clue how to use the wheels effectively, I started messing about with the sliders. I thought, wow, a mid tone adjustment, Mikey Likey! I hadn’t thought about saving them until the end. Great tip! Thanks to you and Chris!

Great tip! I'll be sure to try it out. I've avoided the colour wheels until now.

HI Anthony, thanks for that tip/trick. I know you use and demonstrate both Lightroom & On1 Raw, I have both myself and wondered how you have your system set up so you can edit photos in either Lightroom or On1 without them affecting each other. Look forward to receiving your view, thanks & keep up the great work. Pete👍

I've been doing this for while and it also works great with B&W images.

Thanks for sharing, I frankly find some difficulties with the tone curve but this trick might help👍

Hi!! Tanks Anthony, intersting use of this slider. However, I find it easier and more controllable to grab the midpoint of the Tone Curve and move it up or down. Will just change the luminance without altering white or black point.

I've used a similar idea. The five regions of the histogram act as sliders, so you can drag parts of the overall luminance.

I just went back to my latest edits in LR. Wow! What a difference. Guess what I'll be doing from now on. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Anthony, great video. I have kind of a peripheral question. The first image you edited, the sea scape with the pier and boat. Looking at it closely if seems in part to mimic a pen and ink drawing, particularly the dock. Unless I am misunderstanding what I seeing is seems to be a cool effect. Do you have a tutorial on how to do it?
