Awesome info and video! Reminds me of a Docs Goofy Jig with a float vs a weight on the hook! I have seen my floats chewed on a lot, but never thought it would be the fish vs a crab! I have 'walked' many a blue crab all the way to the beach on my 2 drop rigs and always thought it was a crab. Makes perfect sense it could be the fish! This opens up a whole new concept of 2 drop presentations! One could also pin the float on the dropper, tight against the hook eye with a tiny bobber stopper. Thanks for opening our minds to NEW 2 drop presentations!

I was able to slide the float over the hook. Instead of cutting the float I was able to slide the float and it stays pretty tight. If you don’t have to cut it and it may stay on the hook with minimal float loss.

As a matter of interest.
Didn't catch any fish at all..until I put in a green soft plastic float..I repurposed from a kiddies store, to use as a float.
As soon as I caste my hooks in, with a small piece of white muscle (clam) I instantly caught a fish. Next cast.. similar species took me str8 to The rocks. On my next fishing trip, I'm usiurhis method.
