Good News for Personal Failure

This is good news for those of us who are struggling with personal failure today: you have been assigned a kingdom in Christ. You have an identity in Christ. Your failures do not void your identity. They don't void your entrance into the kingdom of God. They can become occasions for you to experience godly sorrow—which is hard. To engage godly sorrow through repentance and lament and talking to other people—which is hard. But you can know and take confidence that the prayers of Christ are going to sustain you in the midst of all that hard work. That is hard work to process that. And it's humbling work. And we are humbled as we go through it, but the pathway to restoration travels along the road of humility.
