There's something nice about getting to see Jin having some fun racing bikes and goofing around with Hwoarang. It shows a lighter side to his personality that's rarely seen, maybe a glimpse at the person he could be if he wasn't constantly wrapped up in devil/mishima drama

The two were racing, and Lei's speedometer detected that they were speeding. He only apprehended Hwoarang, because Lei didn't see Jin jump over both of them.

So let me get this straight. Jin defeats Unknown, finds out its his mother, who disappears from his arms, he rages hard and goes Earth orbit, only for Jun to reappear again and calm him down. Jin falls back down to Earth on a beach, is pissed that his mother is dead/missing again and decides to take it out on Hworang in a street bike race. Pretty good connection lol.

Jin is a savage when Lei pulled over Hwoarang. He purposely went to normal speed when he passed by them so that Hwoarang could get in trouble. Funny guy.

I also feel that Jin & Hwoarang's relationship goes deeper than the Sasuke/Naruto thing; Hwoarang can actually bring out Jin's childishly playful side, as shown here.
Jin actually goes out of his way to provoke Hwoarang first, then *slowly* rides past him & Lei to rub it in. Poor Hwoarang's gonna get it from Baek.
I think Jin sees Hwoarang as a kid brother to mess around with for fun.
