This is a supplement that I created that aligns with the FUNDATIONS and Heggerty Phonics Programs and the Science of Reading.

THIS FILE IS AN INDEPENDENT PRODUCT AND IS NOT AFFLIATED WITH OR HAS BEEN AUTHORIZED OR SPONSORED BY ANY OTHER PHONICS PROGRAM.

This 30-week video set is an entire year of kindergarten phonics and First Grade intervention practice. It is designed to help students develop phonemic and phonological awareness and build sight word vocabulary.
Daily skills include:
• rhyme repetition,
• beginning, ending and middle sound practice,
• blending and segmenting,
• adding, substituting, and changing sounds in words.

Beginning week 4, sight word practice begins. Approximately 75 sight words are introduced and drilled daily. There is also a nursery rhyme at the end of the video for adults to help students practice the skills.
I designed this series to be played either for the children to use independently or as whole group instruction. I used it in my classroom as a literacy review when the students finished up their breakfast in the morning. The videos give a 2-4 second response time before the answer is said. This enables children to self-check their answers.
