Thanks - that was great. Looking at the pdu format for an ARP frame on packet tracer it is not clear where exactly the ARP header is located - is it part of the data block in the frame or does it come after the FCS section of the frame? If it is the former then is it essentially a packet - like an arp packet but not at layer 3 because it does not go beyond the broadcast domain?
