what worked for me is, i actually deleted the BASE folder(backup it first in case you actually need it) then run the game to create those again, these files only look like player game settings like display settings

I didn't solve the crash but, in my case, I can still play simply clicking outside the crash window. It's worth trying

ok but what if the only json file i have is the authentication? never mind the uninstall reinstall worked for me so far

This must be for the Epic version. My Steam version doesn't have these files. But its still crashing every launch. I'm thinking of transferring my saves to Epic.
