LED ZEPPELIN / THE WANTON SONG /LIVE 1975/ DRUM COVER

Zep only performed The Wanton Song a few times live, this is from their first show of the 1975 U.S. Tour, in Bloomington, MN on Jan. 18 1975. This is a partial soundboard recording that came out a couple years ago.

You often hear people say how Bonzo always laid back on the beat, but I disagree. He definitely did sometimes, like on Since I've Been, Kashmir, No Quarter.... but he also often really drove forward, with a lot of urgency... like on this tune, Trampled Under Foot, Sick Again....many other examples. He wasn't playing behind the beat on this!

Always a favorite of mine! Great playin' George. There's some really cool dimishined chords in the chorus that really accentuate the feel. Then, that driving riff, quite a bit harder to articulate on guitar. Made my day my brother! Thank you!❤
